Extending Autistic islands

Why do we need them? Because we don’t like to go to bad places and have bad experiences; we’ve had enough of it.
These islands and specifically Autistic Retreats bring comfort and renewal that comes to presence when Nature and Autistic Space combine.
 .
There are two ways we can extend Autistic Islandsby creating them, owning them, and managing them – we shall call them Autistic islands with an uppercase ‘A’;  but also by transforming semi-friendly environments into truly autistic destinations – we shall call them autistic islands with a lowercase ‘a’.  We should attempt both.
 .
Extending this effort Internationally may be easier than in the United States. There are International Eco Communities emerging that may be close home with the autistic island definition, or might be willing if we work with them. One example is an Embercrombe community in UK that we were recently referred to via our Education project initiative.
 .
There is also an interest to the idea of Autistic Retreats in Israel, because of its usefulness and also due to the great visibility that an Autistic Island, and especially an Autistic Retreat may achieve there among the travelers, pilgrims, and local community.
 .
We have found in Israel three potential locations that were liked. One on the outskirts of Ganey Aviv, on the land of Moshav that has no use for it, next to an Eucalyptus forest and groves of fruit bearing trees. This would be the first island and a starting point for a traveling autistic family. The next one is in the valley of Cranes between hills of Tabor and Megiddo, at the foothills. And the third, on the north side of sea of Galilee, in a Holy land, where sloping hills descent to the water. We have also met people encouraged and excited by the idea.
 .
We are seeking Supporters and Volunteers who would like to champion this cause.
